Distributed Printers
Distributed printers are often linked to multiple network hosts, and may handle print jobs for several departments, or for an entire floor. Distributed printers efficiently share resources between many users on a variety of platforms, making them cost-effective for workgroup and departmental environments. These printers are able to handle large printing volumes and provide advanced finishing capabilities.

Production/System Printers
Production / System printers are used to produce customized documents such as statements, bills, reports, policies, catalogs, manuals and training documents.
Production / System printers provide high-speed, high-volume printing, often operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These printers can accept data from transaction-oriented applications for output to a central or distributed location.
In-line, automated finishing is available. For instance, attached finishing equipment can cut paper to specific dimensions, make booklets, punch holes and more.
Hi-light color is also available. Hi-light color is used to set off portions of a statement or other document to make it easier to read. Production / System printers support Direct Mail and MICR applications.

Industrial/Impact and Non-Impact Printers
Industrial / Impact and Non-Impact printers are small, free-standing, continuous forms printers. These printers are used to print multi-part forms, labels or barcodes for manufacturing, distribution and retail customers. Most models utilize impact technology. Multi-part forms are layered forms with carbon layers in between form layers. Impact technology allows the printer to print to all the layers of multi-part forms. Industrial / Impact and Non-Impact printers are designed for heavy, continuous use in harsh industrial environments. Non-impact printing for special forms and labels is also available with the Infoprint 62
